Food for Fines

Food for Fines is a month-long event for all of the Public Libraries in Jefferson County. $1.00 in overdue fines will be waived for each unexpired, unopened, non-perishable food item you donate in September. Up to $10.00 per library card holder can be waived. This does not apply to lost or damaged items. Rob Langford’s 7th Annual SingAthon for Down Syndrome

A Trussville father & US Army veteran is hosting a fundraiser in the name of his son, who has Down syndrome. It’s called Rob Langford’s Sing-a-Thon and the event will be at Slagheap Brewery on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021. Langford, who is an Elvis impersonator, is using his talent to benefit Down Syndrome Alabama. He will sing any song for a donation. This is the sixth year Langford has held the fundraiser.
