Mr. Bond’s Science Guys announce the 2019 library summer reading programs across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama. From May through July, families have the opportunity to get their kids excited about science at one of over 100 events across the South. Alabama Historian Jim Phillips

(Adults) Join Alabamian Historian, Jim Phillips, as he talks about the Old Tennessee to Tuscaloosa Road, which passes right in front of the library! The presentation includes video of early 1800's Alabama ghost towns, taverns, trails, and river crossings. Jim will also review the perils and hardships of the first settlers of central Alabama as they moved into this area from 1815 through the 1840's.
